Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements according to schedule
- Prepare VAT declaration
- Intrastat reporting
- Support invoicing process
- Support the tax audits and tax returns
- Participate to internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process - SAP
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts - Blackline Reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with IT GAAP, IAS principles and tax laws
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting procedures
- IFRS 16 follow up
- HFM reporting
- Support to business controller
Requirements:
- Proven experience as accountant, 5 years' experience.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Cooperate with central FSS
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with SAP 4 HANA
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Fluent English and Portuguese language knowledge
