Position Description

The Finance Manager will support the company's Operational Finance function. This is a high impact finance role, reporting directly to senior Finance leadership. The Finance Manager has the demonstrated ability to deliver results, lead via influence, partner cross-functionally, drive consensus and build high-performing teams. This individual is data-centric with the ability to leverage data and analysis to help the organization achieve its strategic and operational goals.


The position will act as a strategic and collaborative business partner with the Presidents and Operations teams of the company's brands. The position provides critical financial thought partnership as well as all financial and operational reporting, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis for the Brand leadership and operating personnel.


Duties & Responsibilities

Ownership of operational finance function

  • Advance our strategic initiatives through close partnership and continuous/timely communications with Brand President and Operations team
  • Drive FP&A function, including development of budgets, subsequent analysis of performance against them, and related ad-hoc analyses
  • Streamline finance processes and stand up repeatable and scalable solutions to enable controllership while shifting the balance of the team's time towards value-added support
  • Serve as thought partner to drive action with value-added analytics, recommendations, and execution
  • Bring a strategic mindset toward discovering opportunities and identifying new areas of growth or efficiency for our businesses
  • Interpret and summarize complex data to help achieve strategic and operational goals, and delivery financial results to all key stakeholders
  • Provide support in the preparation of periodic, quarterly and annual earnings, MD&A, and messaging
  • Continuous process improvement and refinement

Qualifications

Education and experience

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 6-8+ years of progressive financial experience within the multi-unit industry

Technical skills

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to succinctly interpret data and frame business issues in a straightforward manner to present to Executives
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence platforms preferred
  • Clear verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills
