We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their growing team and ensure the financial health and sustainability of their organization.



Position Overview:

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This individual will work closely with the Executive Director and other leadership team members to manage budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting, as well as assist in ensuring that all financial activities align with the organization's goals and mission.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and tracking performance against budget.

  • Support the preparation of financial statements for audits, ensuring adherence to nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to ensure financial stability.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure sound financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.

  • Oversee compliance with tax laws, grants, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Provide financial analysis to support fundraising and grant reporting needs.

  • Ensure the organization's financial systems and processes are efficient, transparent, and effective.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit financial management or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.
