Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our finance function and support the financial health and long-term sustainability of our business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, mid-sized manufacturing environment and is confident managing both daily accounting operations and broader financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approve payroll processing (administered by HR)
- Provide weekly updates on revenue, cash position, and AR/AP status to local leadership
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and improve internal controls in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for local leadership and the holding company
- Monitor and manage cash flow; support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking across departments
- Reconcile inventory and job costs in coordination with operations and project teams
- Ensure compliance with sales tax requirements, fixed asset management, and external audit processes
- Supervise and support the company's Accountant to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to the planning and execution of ERP data migration and future system implementation
- Manage banking, corporate insurance policies and company credit card programs
- Manage the company's checkbook and be the main signer
Required Skills / Knowledge
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Controlling or related field.
Experience
- 4-6 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Sage X3)
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a small-team setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with inventory and project-based accounting required
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with working knowledge of inventory processes
- Professional fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
