This role involves overseeing the planning processes, including projections, quarterly/annual forecasts, and long-term planning. It also encompasses the quarterly closing process, delivering business insights, analytics, and internal management reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage the quarterly closing process, including consolidation, analysis, and reporting for internal management, investor relations, corporate communications, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the quarterly and annual forecasting process, providing business insights and preparing reports for executive leadership. Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
- Ensure compliance with reporting controls, review documentation, and collaborate with risk management teams to oversee the risk controls matrix.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in areas of responsibility. Support functional initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in finance
- Proficiency in US GAAP (solid accounting skills).
- Strong leadership and influencing abilities; self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a knack for resolving issues promptly.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of communicating and coordinating with a diverse group of peers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical skills, adept at organizing large datasets, extracting insights, and tailoring messages to different audiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of forecasting and closing processes and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with similar planning systems preferred.
- Experience with planning systems like Anaplan, Essbase is advantageous.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn data visualization and cloud platforms such as Power BI and Azure is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
