Finance Director

Objective: Oversee financial systems for Shadowbrook Church

1. Responsible for all financial activities for the church and support the Weekday School (WDS)
2. Process all contributions in the church and works with other staff to ensure proper accountability
3. Process all payables and receivables for the church
4. Process all payables and receivables for Weekday School (WDS)
5. Manage cash flow for church and Weekday School (WDS) to meet obligations
6. Implement and oversee all church investments
7. Assure that current financial data for the church and Weekday School (WDS) is available to staff and leaders
8. Process payroll for Church Staff through Ministry Works
9. Process Weekday School (WDS) payroll in coordination with Ministry Works
10. Prepare timely, monthly P&L's for the church, each lead team member, and for Weekday School (WDS)
11. Complete monthly bank reconciliations for Shadowbrook Church operating & investment accounts
12. Complete monthly bank reconciliations for the Weekday School (WDS) account
13. Manage COMMUNITY CHURCH BUILDER and APLOS financial systems (these are the church database and accounting systems)
14. Manage church tax filing yearly & make quarterly tax payments to IRS
15. Manage distribution of annual giving statements
16. Responsible for all check reimbursements and reimbursement process
17. Work with Weekday School (WDS) on the management of the total budget
18. Support elders & lead pastor with an annual budget with reports, trends, and spending data
19. Prepare and implement the annual church budget
20. Oversee retirement contributions
21. Coordinate with the insurance company to review annual quotes and plans for review
22. Work with keeping good accountability policies in money stewardship
23. Manage and file 1099's annually
24. Maintain an online financial record system for the church
25. Other duties as assigned
