About the Role & Team
The EMEA Central Planning team is responsible for region-wide financial consolidation, reporting, and analysis of all planning cycles (AOP and forecast cycles). The team supports the EMEA management team, working closely with the Disney Entertainment Planning team in the US, and with all LOBs and Markets across EMEA.
We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join the EMEA Central Planning Finance team based in London on a permanent basis. The role requires working from our Hammersmith office 4 days a week and 1 day from home.
What You Will Do
The Finance Analyst will support the team in delivering forecasts, AOP, 5YP, and quarter-end close activities. Responsibilities include preparing forecasting files, analyzing financial data, supporting cost centers, and engaging with EMEA markets.
Delivery
- Generate cost reports for forecasts, budgets, and quarter-end close using finance systems.
- Manage quarterly activities including cost templates, journal entries, and accruals.
- Collaborate with cost centers like Public Relations/Communications and Human Resources to ensure accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Review and consolidate EMEA market cost submissions.
- Standardize and automate cost reporting processes where possible.
- Identify issues and opportunities within cost centers and communicate findings.
Business Partnering
- Work with cost center leads to provide financial support and reporting.
- Engage with EMEA markets for timely submissions of forecast and budget templates.
- Assist in preparing presentations for financial messaging to the business.
Management
- Manage end-to-end planning processes.
- Provide accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
- Leverage technology to automate processes and improve results.
- Tailor communication to the audience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, etc.).
- Attention to detail and ability to see the big picture.
- Numerate, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce clear, insightful analysis and recommend improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new financial systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive, self-starter with quick learning and adaptability.
