About the Position

The Health & Human Services Administrative and Finance Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in Lane County's largest department. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in administration, finance, and accounting to make a meaningful impact on the community.

We're looking for a solution-oriented leader who values collaboration, organizational health, and building strong connections-with staff, clients, and community partners alike.

As the Division Manager for the Health & Human Services Administration Division, you'll oversee a wide range of critical functions, including:
  • Managing and ensuring compliance with complex funding sources and Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Providing expert guidance to staff, Division Managers, and Executive Leadership on financial matters.
  • Leading the financial stewardship of an annual budget exceeding $200M.
  • Overseeing a team responsible for developing and monitoring revenue and expense contracts within a large, subcontracted service delivery system.
  • Directing core fiscal operations such as accounts payable/receivable, annual audits, budget preparation and tracking, payroll, and grant compliance and reporting.

About the Division

The Lane County Health & Human Services (H&HS) Administration Division provides leadership and supportive services to the eight direct service divisions of H&HS, coordinating an integrated system of health and human services. The division is responsible for providing department wide leadership, strategy, contracting, personnel and fiscal services.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm

This is a non-represented position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Training and Experience
  • Ten years of education and/or experience in financial management, accounting, municipal budgeting, medical group revenue cycle operations, business administration, or similar, including four years of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role; or a combination sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.

Health insurance coverage becomes effective the first of the month following your first 30 days as an eligible employee.

Medical/Rx/Vision - Lane County offers medical, prescription and vision exam coverage for you and your eligible dependents. The plan options and costs per month for 2018 are outlined below:

If you enroll in the HDHP the County will contribute to your HSA: $1,500 (individual) or $3,000 (family) annually. This amount is prorated based on date of hire.

Eligible employees who complete a Health History Risk Assessment (HHRA), Biometric Screening, and Comprehensive Health Review (CHR) at the Live Well Center receive a $20 per month credit.

Wellness Clinic - The Live Well Center is for Lane County benefits-eligible employees, spouses and dependents (ages 2 and up) who are enrolled in the Lane County health plan.
