The Field Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training programs to enhance the effectiveness and performance of Clinical Specialists. This role focuses on execution excellence, product knowledge, compliance, and customer engagement strategies to drive success in their territories. The Field Trainer partners with leadership, CS team, and client to ensure training aligns with business objectives and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Training Development & Delivery

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs, including onboarding, product knowledge, compliance, and soft skills training.
  • Conduct field-based coaching and real-time skill reinforcement for Clinical Specialists.
  • Implement role-playing exercises, workshops, and virtual training to enhance execution and customer engagement skills.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence to ensure relevant training content.

Field Execution & Coaching

  • Partner with Divisional Managers (DMs) to identify skill gaps and develop individualized coaching plans.
  • Conduct ride-alongs (field visits) with CSs to assess and improve execution techniques.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and mentoring to enhance field effectiveness and confidence.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness and performance improvements.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure all training aligns with client reequipments and pharmaceutical industry regulations (FDA, PhRMA Code, etc.) and company compliance guidelines.
  • Reinforce ethical practices and adherence to promotional guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and certifications to ensure CSs maintain compliance and competency.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with client stakeholders, field leadership, and internal teams to align training with business objectives.
  • Support new product launches by developing training strategies that drive market success.
  • Collaborate with marketing and medical affairs teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Analyze field performance data to inform training priorities and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with a strong track record of success.
  • Prior experience in sales training, coaching, or leadership preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, sales models, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel (up to 50-70% as needed).

  • High energy, engaging training style, and ability to motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in LMS (Learning Management Systems) and virtual training platforms.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches for different learning styles and experience levels.
