Job DetailsWe're hiring a Field Technician Specialist with strong Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. This is a full-time, high-impact role focused on delivering complex BAS solutions for large-scale projects-especially in the data center and mission-critical sectors. You'll lead installations, testing, commissioning, and closeout phases while coordinating across internal teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee on-site BAS/HVAC controls installations
- Lead and direct subcontractors and field crews
- Organize materials, job site logistics, and access planning
- Cut over panels in retrofit jobs and develop MOPs
- Assist in functional testing and systems troubleshooting
- Work with stakeholders to validate performance vs. scope
- Perform QA/QC and verify system readiness for turnover
- Provide daily field updates and safety documentation
- Communicate consistently with project managers, clients, and contractors
- Assist with job walks, audits, estimates, and proposal support
- Participate in retrofit surveys and document field conditions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on BAS installation, testing, and commissioning experience
- Working knowledge of Distech and Tridium Niagara platforms
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, controls wiring, and low-voltage terminations
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturer specs
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and familiar with digital collaboration tools
- Comfortable leading teams and communicating with clients onsite
- Able to travel up to 75% as projects require
