The Role:
We are looking for an additional Field Service Engineer based in Atlanta to join our service team, providing field service, technical support, software support, and user training to our customers. You would primarily work on LabLogic radiodetectors paired with HPLC systems and Hidex scintillation and gamma counters, which are used daily in cutting-edge research across the country and beyond. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several of our key, niche product lines. This position will be based out of the hired candidate's home-based office and will require heavy travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific and technical background and will be eager to learn new skills.
Responsibilities:
Conduct installation and basic user training of instruments and software
Provide preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs
Perform validation services (IQ/OQ) of hardware and software
Provide technical, and when appropriate, application support
Work closely with service management to coordinate schedule and prioritize service needs
Record work performed in the service database and prepare service reports in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Engineering/Biology/Chemistry related degree with knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and software
- At least 3 years professional field engineer experience or laboratory background, preferably in the pharmaceutical or nuclear medicine industry
- Experience and knowledge of liquid chromatography (HPLC) or liquid scintillation counting
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Occasional international travel required
- Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Computer and software experience and proficiency is a must
