Overview
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in inspecting mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshooting issues, and providing training to plant operators.
Responsibilities
- Review operation and maintenance manuals to prepare for equipment start-up services and training sessions.
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematic diagrams.
- Travel primarily within the U.S. to customer locations to inspect equipment and assist installing contractors with final adjustments during equipment testing to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to adjust control panel wiring and/or modify programmable logic controller (PLC) programs on-site.
- Provide on-site training to plant staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Prepare detailed service reports for equipment installations.
- Offer technical support in troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, both via email and phone.
- Travel will constitute approximately 95% of the role, with 5% spent in the office.
Requirements
- At least four (4) years of relevant experience as a mechanic or millwright.
- Experience in electrical or machine field service is a plus.
- Proficiency with computer software (Word, PDF) and the ability to interpret civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel 95% of the time.
