TITLE: Field Service Technician

LOCATION: Pennsylvania

OVERVIEW

Providing service and customer support during field visits and via telephone. Managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions. Maintaining a constant inventory within the company vehicle.


RESPONSIBITILIES

  • Reporting daily activities to the Regional Lead Technician
  • Self-starting initiative for daily activities
  • Creating a safe work environment by following policies
  • Properly using implemented software for scheduling work, completing work forms and forwarding the information to the customer
  • Maintaining a constantly replenished inventory for repairs
  • Maintaining company vehicle, laptop, phone and tools
  • Creating and maintaining a professional relationship with the customer
  • Traveling for factory training classes on Products
  • Compensated After-hours on-call rotation once trained accordingly
  • Compensated After-hours technical support rotation once trained accordingly

REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher Technical Certificate, Associate's Degree (2 years), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of electro-mechanical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of automated material handling equipment is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with field service industry helpful
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of technical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized software for maintenance and reporting
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling and reporting software
