Field Service Technician - Packaging and Printing

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team in the Cincinnati Ohio area, focusing on providing exceptional technical support and services in the packaging and printing industry. In this role, you will be critical in managing equipment maintenance, customer complaints, and ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction. This position offers a dynamic work environment where technical skills and customer interaction go hand in hand to facilitate seamless service delivery and business growth.

Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operational responsibility for service delivery and equipment maintenance.
  • Distinguish and manage formal and informal customer complaints to improve service quality.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to anticipate issues and support plant throughput.
  • Conduct sample, rework, and sort activities on suspect products at customer sites as necessary.
  • Initiate and manage improvement requests for customer locations with documented needs.
  • Identify challenges in customer packing lines and suggest actionable solutions to optimize machine performance.
  • Oversee new business accounts and manage transition steps critical for customer satisfaction.
  • Align collaboration efforts with internal teams such as customer service, sales, and operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, maintain records, reporting, and documentation as per industry standards.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a technical service role within the packaging or printing industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational mechanics and maintenance protocols.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex customer issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and adapt to flexible work schedules.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance pertaining to the packaging and printing sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced certification or training in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with global business accounts and cross-functional team management.
  • Prior role in a customer-facing technical support or field service position.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Technical proficiency in using industry-standard software and diagnostic tools.
