Position: Field Service Technician
Location: Concord, CA (Travel can be from 15 minutes - 2 hours around the Bay Area. reimbursement of .70 cents per mile)
Duration: 3-month contract
PR: $28-$32/hr
Must Haves:
3+ years of experience in a PC Technician/Field Tech role
Thorough knowledge of computer systems & IT Components
Experience supporting enterprise IT environments
Experience w/ remote PC troubleshooting
LAN/WAN network troubleshooting
Printer support experience
Understanding of internet security and data privacy principles
Willingness to travel (50%) - there will be mileage/expense reimbursement
Plusses:
Relevant certifications (CompTIA, A+, CCNA, etc.)
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a traveling Field Technician to join a managed service program for a client in the Financial Services industry. This person will be traveling around the bay area and will be responsible for supporting PC/Hardware issues for all branch locations from the Bay Area to Sacramento. The primary need will be to support the conversion of the current branches (bank they bought) to the clients branches from a technology perspective. They would play a role in back of the house setup such as the IDF closet that includes routers, servers, racks, UPS's, patching, etc. also, front of the house which would include workstation setup that includes desktop/Laptop setup with the appropriate peripherals. This is not limited to just the above-mentioned items but would be branch IT related technologies.
