Description

The key responsibilities of the field service engineer are:

  • Install and configure complex automation machinery to meet operational standards
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and support project objectives
  • Maintain detailed service records and technical documentation
  • Train customers and fellow technicians on equipment usage and troubleshooting
  • Communicate component needs and service updates to supervisors and purchasing agents


Profile

A successful Field Service Engineer will:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in field service or industrial automation
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems
  • Skilled at reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Comfortable with extensive domestic and international travel (up to 75%)
  • Valid driver's license and U.S. passport required
