As the Field Service Technician, you will be instrumental in the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment and for promoting and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with our service and products.

What you'll be doing

  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair with selective customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Manage the utilization of assets and resources to achieve targeted financial results and create superior value for Stargel Office Solutions and our customers
  • Communicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professional
  • Provide accurate feedback with call close information, parts usage reporting and customer meter readings
  • Maintain a professional appearance, first call effectiveness of 75%, accurate parts inventory and attend monthly team meetings
  • Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free
  • Perform other activities that support Stargel Office Solutions and our service organization

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Hands on mechanical experience required, such as: low voltage machinery, hands on technician, vehicle mechanics, AC/HVAC, computer repair, etc
  • One (1) or more years of experience in repairing, servicing, and/or installing office equipment, including copiers, printers, Photo ID and ID Badge systems, or fingerprint scanners preferred (but not required)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and comfortable with frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance coverage required (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Comfortable and able to travel within assigned territory in greater Houston area
