Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory equipment in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This full-time role requires frequent travel (up to 80%) to offsite laboratories and occasional weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and train Field Service Engineers.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on laboratory instrumentation.
- Provide direct technical support to clients via phone and onsite visits.
- Schedule and conduct new equipment installations, training, and validations.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of service activities.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Quality, and Management to meet company goals.
- Maintain compliance with Quality System objectives and escalation protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in laboratory equipment maintenance, with expertise in LC/MS, MS (Agilent, AB Sciex, Waters, Shimadzu preferred).
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information:
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and working with untested patient samples.
- Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
