VIDA are partnering with a high-profile surgical robotics MedTech start up. Well-funded, and now with regulatory clearance, they are rolling out their technology across the US. To meet their ambitious growth plans, and increasing demand, they are looking for a talented Field Service / Product Support Engineer to join the team.


This role will lead the installation, service, and maintenance of the surgical robots across their customers in the central region of the US. Ideally this person will be based in and around Dallas, Texas, where a number of installation sites will be located, with a regional responsibility from Texas to Minnesota.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially, the focus will be on new installs, with more maintenance and repair responsibilities further down the line.
  • You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and peak performance.
  • Lead on the install of product upgrades and future innovation.
  • Deliver technical support and training to surgeons and users to ensure high levels of adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally 3-7 years' experience as a Field Service Engineer or Product Support Engineer (or similar) with complex medical capital equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to addressing technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with customers and internally.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or healthcare technology, with both mechanical and electrical components.

This is an early team hire, working as a part of a small product support team as they launch commercially, so the ability to be a team player, communicate effectively and be the go-to technical resource for all customers in region, this is a great opportunity for someone to make a big impact in a fast growing start up.
