CNC Field Service Engineer (Traveling 75%+) Location: Live anywhere in the United States (75%+ travel)
Compensation: $26-$40/hr
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer looking to join an industry leader in custom manufacturing of some of the largest and most complex tooling and CNC Machines in the industry. This role offers excellent growth opportunities and involves extensive travel.
Position Overview The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for CNC machine tools startup and installation both on-site and at customer locations throughout the U.S. and abroad. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and requires up to 75% domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CNC machine tools startup and installation
- Troubleshoot wiring, electrical systems, and fluid/electrical servo-activated systems
- Debug closed and open-loop axes control issues
- Conduct initial CNC software loading, logic debugging, and parameter configuration
- Train and mentor junior system engineers
- Execute CNC axis compensation for machine geometry
Qualifications- Strong programming or ladder logic skills
- In-depth knowledge of AC/DC circuits
- Proficiency in CNC machine parameters and axis drive parameters tuning
- Experience with CNC geometry and positioning axis compensation
- Ability to interpret electrical and fluid schematics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 2-5 years of related experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Education- High School diploma required
- Technical degree preferred
