Our client, a leading publisher of world language products, is seeking a dedicated and driven sales individual to join their team. This person would be covering an assigned territory and would have a high interest in language education, building relationships with new and current clients, and being part of a dynamic sales team. The successful person in this role is someone who loves networking, building relationships, winning new business, and delivering on client expectations. This person would also have excellent territory management, consultative-selling, presentation and active listening skills.


This role manages the Upper Midwest territory, selling Higher Education world language learning, ELL and ESL products to colleges and universities throughout the state.


Location:

Remote within the assigned territory. This role requires residence within one of the territory states in the United States and a willingness to travel without restriction. Ideal candidate will reside within close proximity to a major airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, St. Louis, Missouri, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Relocation is not available for this position.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently to achieve sales quotas
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs
  • Deliver impactful and engaging virtual and live presentations that show how our solutions can help solve their challenges and achieve learning outcomes
  • Partner with sales support team and customer success to ensure a customers' needs are understood and met
  • Travel as needed within the territory for customer meetings, industry events and company events
  • Effectively analyze, plan and manage accounts through consistent and accurate utilization of CRM and other sales tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • 2-3 years of current experience in a Higher Education ed-tech / publishing sales in a business development or account management role
  • Current experience in consultative field sales role with a territory in the Upper Midwest
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting/demonstrating digital resources/programs both in-person and virtually
  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and appropriately speak with customers and team members in a professional and meaningful way
  • Advanced territory management, prospecting, building and negotiation skills
  • Experience using a CRM and other sales tools to manage sales activities and analyze related data
  • Ability to travel during day and overnight as needed without restriction

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience teaching language courses in Higher Education
  • Hands-on working knowledge of
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian
  • Advanced degree
