Green Dot Labs will begin offering its enormous, growing, world-class library of 200+ exclusive strains to cannabis lovers in Arizona in the first half of 2025.


About the role


We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a skilled Field Marketing Representative to join Green Dot Labs. Partnering with Account Managers to support assigned GDL customers, this individual will act as the face of Green Dot Labs in Arizona, enhancing in-market visibility and educating retail staff and consumers about GDL's brand and products to the market through pop-ups, trainings, and merchandising activities, and fostering relationships with buyers and budtenders. Success in this role will be measured in terms of account-specific revenue performance, activity levels and engagement in market, and through feedback from sales leadership and retail partners.


Key Responsibilities


Activation & Promotion (75%)

  • Staff in-store retailer pop-up events, motivating product adoption, increasing brand awareness, and generating brand loyalty through engaging, informed interactions
  • Report on pop-up events staffed in CRM using established metrics and forms within one business day of event
  • Support promotions and limited time offers through buyer and staff education, in-store merchandising, and deployment of digital assets
  • Maintain promotional schedule for each assigned account and track results post-activation using reporting from retailer and AlpineIQ (where applicable)
  • Act as the go-to GDL representative for trainings on the brand, our products, and provide GDL Budtender selling strategies. Staff in-store education events and manage account participation GDL's online training system Seed Talent, including onboarding, tracking, and sample redemption.
  • Staff offsite activations for buyers, budtenders, and consumers including retail-sponsored events, GDL-hosted events, and trade events.
  • Drive awareness of GDL's budtender marketing program and encourage email sign ups

Merchandising (10%)

  • Make merchandising visits to all accounts as scheduled and at intervals defined by the Account Managers and/or Trade Marketing Manager to ensure optimal, compliant brand, product, and program presentation and awareness in store
  • Install merchandising materials including displays, packaging, and collateral according to trade marketing guidelines; identify opportunities to enhance and expand retail footprint through regular in-market review
  • Report on merchandising activities in CRM using established metrics and forms within one business day of event
  • Provide insights and recommendations on merchandising best practices and opportunities in market based on review of retailer spaces and competitor merchandising

Account Support & Administration (15%)

  • Build relationships with buyers and budtenders and support success through formal and informal educational sessions and gatherings
  • Communicate with accounts proactively and in an effective, timely manner across all channels including email, phone and in person
  • Enter detailed reporting on all activities in CRM including photos for all in-store evens and installations
  • Perform inventory reviews of display product, printed assets, merchandise, and provide updates on stock levels, pricing, promotions, and needs
  • Provide reporting via CRM
  • Maintain a regular line of communication to Account Managers while in market and in office, identifying potential issues immediately and supporting problem solving
  • Gather market intelligence during visits to retailers and share insights on competitors and industry trends
  • Develop a rapport with internal stakeholders and actively participate in company-wide initiatives

Qualifications


  • 3+ years sales or field marketing experience, cannabis or alcohol preferred
  • Or 3+ years in retail, hospitality, or customer service role
  • Experience with CRM tools and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred
  • Data proficiency required; must be comfortable reviewing quantitative data and discussing insights
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities, with a capacity to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license, operational personal vehicle, and a clean driving record required for travel
  • Must be willing to travel >200 miles to visit accounts
  • Must have or be eligible to receive an AZ Facility Agent license
  • High school diploma required
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Location


This position is headquartered at GDL's Tempe, AZ office with most time in market and some office time at home. This position requires 85% travel within Arizona, including nights and weekends. Travel to GDL's Boulder and Denver, Colorado headquarters may be required for training.


Schedule


Tuesday - Saturday, 12PM - 8PM, including some nights & weekends
