Join Our Team as a Field Engineer - Drive Innovation in Oil & Gas

At HULK, we are dedicated to advancing oilfield technology with innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and performance. Our team is committed to delivering industry-leading products and services, ensuring reliability in unconventional well operations. As a Field Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting artificial lift downhole tools, balancing hands-on fieldwork with technical analysis to drive product success and customer satisfaction.

About Us

Founded in 2018, HULK is a solutions-driven company specializing in artificial lift technology and downhole tool reliability. We work closely with industry professionals to provide cutting-edge tools designed for durability and performance. With a strong presence in West Texas and beyond, our mission is to enhance operational efficiency through engineering excellence and customer-focused innovation.

Field Engineer Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to support the performance and reliability of our artificial lift downhole tools. This role is based in West Texas and involves conducting teardowns, inspections, and engineering reports to optimize tool performance at a regional level. The ideal candidate will combine field expertise with analytical skills, ensuring the successful deployment and operation of our products.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Reliability Engineering & Technical Analysis

  • Conduct detailed inspections and teardowns of artificial lift downhole tools to assess performance, wear, and failure modes.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, identifying root causes and recommending design or operational improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze reliability metrics to enhance product durability and drive continuous improvement.

Field Operations Support

  • Provide technical support for installations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift, plunger lift).
  • Determine when on-site presence is necessary versus when remote support is sufficient.
  • Assist in hands-on field operations during critical deployments or product trials.

New Product Launch & Customer Training

  • Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to support the rollout of new downhole tools, leveraging field insights and reliability data.
  • Train field personnel and customers on new product features, applications, and best practices.
  • Gather and relay field feedback to refine designs and improve market readiness.

Customer & Competitive Insights

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and the company, providing solutions tailored to their operational needs.
  • Assess competitor products, identifying key differentiators and areas for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with regional customers to foster trust and gain valuable insights.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, field visits, and customer interactions.
  • Deliver timely reports to management on reliability trends, product performance, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with industry standards during field visits and facility operations.

Who You Are:

  • A problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and an analytical mindset.
  • A self-starter who thrives in both field and office environments.
  • A collaborative professional with excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • A hands-on engineer who enjoys troubleshooting and optimizing technical systems.
  • A strong communicator who can bridge the gap between field operations, engineering, and sales-translating technical insights into actionable solutions that drive performance and efficiency

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the oil and gas industry, specifically in unconventional wells and artificial lift systems.
  • Strong understanding of artificial lift technologies (e.g., ESPs, gas lift, plunger lift, pumpjacks) and their applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and failure analysis data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with engineering software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in field environments, including extreme weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs. during inspections.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regionally (20-60%) to support field operations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Direct experience with tool teardowns, inspections, and field operations.
  • Relevant certifications in artificial lift technologies.
  • Customer-facing experience, including conducting business reviews, technical reviews, and failure analysis discussions with clients.

Compensation: Salary is competitive and dependent on years of applicable experience. Additional benefits and incentives will be discussed during the hiring process.

Why Join HULK?

  • Work with a team of industry experts dedicated to innovation and excellence.
  • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge oilfield technology.
  • Competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.
