Job Responsibilities:
- Installation, Debugging, and Maintenance of Wireless Network Devices (BH, FWA, CPE): Build WISP networks by deploying and debugging network equipment such as mmWave BH, FWA, CPE, antennas, and switches.
- Network Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve common issues such as wireless network coverage problems, link interruptions, and bandwidth bottlenecks.
- Remote and On-Site Technical Support: Assist customers with diagnosing wireless network issues and provide either remote or on-site technical support to improve network stability and user experience.
- Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as tower sites, rooftop stations, backhaul links, and coverage links to identify and prevent potential problems, ensuring stable network operations.
- Firmware and Software Updates: Upgrade software for wireless network devices to ensure they are up to date and functioning correctly.
- Technical Documentation: Based on deployment experience, improve maintenance manuals and optimize operational procedures (SOPs).
- Collaboration with R&D and Optimization: Collect user feedback and assist the R&D team in optimizing the performance and functionality of wireless network products.
Job Requirements:
Educational Background:
Associate degree or above, preferably in telecommunications engineering, computer networking, or related fields.
Technical Experience:
- Familiar with wireless network protocols (802.11 Wi-Fi, PTP/PTMP)
- Solid understanding of network technologies including TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, VPN
- Experienced in installation and maintenance of mmWave BH, wireless APs, routers, antennas, RF devices
Tools & Equipment:
- Proficient in using network testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, iPerf, UISP by UBNT)
- Strong hands-on skills with field troubleshooting experience, capable of hardware replacement, cabling, and tower work (preference for those with a valid working-at-heights certificate)
- Good communication skills, able to collaborate efficiently with clients and operations teams to resolve technical issues
- Experience with WISP network architecture, such as FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) and backhaul link planning; able to respond immediately to network outages
