Field Service Engineer - High-End Fitness Equipment

About the Role
Our client, a global leader in high-end connected fitness equipment, is expanding its in-house field service team to deliver a superior customer experience across both residential and commercial markets. This remote-based role, based in Austin, TX, offers the opportunity to manage your own territory while representing a premium brand in the fitness industry.
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll take full ownership of diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for a wide range of fitness equipment. You'll respond to work orders routed through a centralized service system and prioritize your schedule based on geography, parts availability, and client needs. This is a field-based position-while you'll work from home, you'll be on-site with customers daily, interacting with both residential users and commercial facility managers.
What You'll Do
You'll perform hands-on technical work, including troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment care education. You'll manage and document service orders accurately, maintain a high level of inventory accuracy with tools and parts, and provide structured technical feedback to internal teams. While the majority of your service calls will be local, up to 25% travel may be required to assist neighboring regions, support trade events, or attend company training at headquarters. On average, you'll complete about four work orders per day, depending on travel distance and complexity.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of experience in a field service or equipment repair role, with strong preference given to those with experience working on gym or fitness equipment. A diploma or degree in Electronics, Communications, or a related technical field is required. You'll need proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with mobile tools and service apps, and the ability to manage work independently while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Experience with IT networking is a plus.
Tools and Training Provided
You'll be equipped with everything you need to succeed in the field, including a company-provided van, laptop, iPad, phone, tools, and a stocked parts inventory.
