Position Overview
The Field Application Scientist (FAS) will serve as a technical liaison between the company and its customers, providing expertise and support for the company's scientific products and technologies. The FAS will play a crucial role in customer success by ensuring optimal use and application of our products, contributing to sales growth, and fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre- and Post-Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the sales process, including product presentations and answering technical questions.
- Support post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product implementation.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and seminars to represent the company and engage with potential customers.
- Technical Support and Training
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, helping them to effectively use and troubleshoot the company's products.
- Conduct product training sessions and demonstrations for customers and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and application notes.
- Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Assist customers in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Collect and communicate customer feedback to the product development and marketing teams.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Document customer interactions and support activities in the company's CRM system.
- Prepare detailed reports on customer visits, technical issues, and solutions provided.

- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and instrumentation.

- Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time) to customer sites and
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
