The primary function of this position is to batch and pellet feed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

This position is responsible for batching and pelleting feed using a semi-automated computer system. In addition to making feed, this position will also be responsible for dumping bags of ingredients, completing inventory of ingredients, minimal servicing of some machinery, and general housekeeping.

Job Requirements:

Must have general computer skills-prior industrial computer experience preferred. Must have basic math skills. Must have the ability to read and write when mixing bags of feed, filling out ingredient logs, and completing batch logs. Must have basic mechanical skills. Must have good communication skills and be able to work flexible hours. Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs. Must be willing to work in an elevated area. Must be willing to ride in an elevator. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. Must be able to push, pull, pinch, grasp, bend, and stoop. Must be willing to work in extreme climate conditions from hot to cold. Must be willing to work in dusty non-toxic environment.

Must have a total of six (6) months of Machine Operator experience. (Six (6) months of experience may be with different employers and does not have to be consecutive.)

Must have six (6) months of continuous work history with one (1) employer within the last twenty-four (24) months.

Start Pay: $18.05 with a $2.00 Shift Premium-

Work Schedule: Sunday thru Thursday 40 hours overtime and holiday work required.
