About the Role
- Work with a driving partner to ensure continuous transportation. While one driver operates the vehicle, the other rests, enabling longer driving hours.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the truck before and after trips to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS and road maps, adjusting for traffic and weather conditions as necessary.
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations, including hours-of-service laws and safety standards.
- Prioritize safety by practicing defensive driving techniques, remaining alert, and following all safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Responsibilities
- OTR 5-6 days and then home for 2 days each week.
- No-touch Freight, Drop and Hook only
- Haul for FedEx Ground
- Approx. miles every week
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A with Double-Triple Endorsement (or willing to get them)
- Must have minimum 3 years of OTR driving experience with a tractor trailer in the USA
