Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.
Minimum Qualifications - Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position. Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Work-study requires that you are degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of one credit that applies towards the semester you are employed.
- You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred QualificationsMonths Per YearWork Hours Average 10-15 hours per week, dependent upon your work study award.

Job Duties
Job Duty - Answer Help Desk telephone and assist students and employees with technical issues.
- Reset passwords
- Assist users with setting up email on personal devices
- Assist users with accessing the Bay College Wi-Fi Network
- Provide support for classroom technology including video conferencing
- Work within the Request Ticket system to solve user problems
- Other duties as assigned by Helpdesk Coordinator
- Assist in installation and troubleshooting of PC software and hardware across the campus
- Assist in repair and setup of workstations
- Assist in cabling of the network and troubleshooting the network
- Assist Network admins with server maintenance tasks
