Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Support strategic planning and deployment of CAE modeling processes to accelerate product development.
  • Programming skills to develop robust solution templates, GUIs, and post process output results.
  • Translate actual problem to FEA model, perform what if studies, and select best solution.
  • Actively participate in global multi-disciplinary product development, process improvement & problem-solving teams.
  • Interpret FEA results and convert them to design suggestions that will guide product development teams.
  • Use FEA to investigate opportunities in reducing cost & limit required testing.
  • Ability to work with lab personnel on test development (Quasi-static and Dynamic).
  • Capable of using solid model software (e.g., SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor) for special test fixture development.
  • Correlate FEA model with field observations and/or lab results.
  • Some travel is required to maintain active contact with plant groups, suppliers & customers.
  • Documentation of analysis are expected in the form of detailed technical reports, presentations & management updates.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or engineering mechanics with FEA background.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior experience in FEA.
  • Highly motivated and results driven individual.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers & management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work effectively as a member of domestic or international teams.
  • Experienced in using Abaqus software (including CAE, Standard, & Explicit).
  • Trained in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • An understanding of product development process & quality systems.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or engineering mechanics with FEA background.
  • Ansys FEA Software.
  • Microsoft Excel Programming Experience.
  • MATLAB Programming Experience and/or Python Scripting Language.
  • Hyperelastic Material Test Results Interpretation.
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) Development Experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Finite Element Analysis, preferably in rubber industry.
