Salary: $18.00 Hourly Rate SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking an OPS Personnel Technician III to work for the Office of Human Resources at Central Office in Tallahassee, Florida. This position performs a variety of independent professional technical duties for the Payroll Department. This includes, but is not limited to the following: + Processing employee separation packages including leave payouts. + Conducts leave audits as necessary. + Monitors outstanding time sheets and provides technical support for leave and attendance issues. + Ensuring that all leave without pay timesheets are reviewed prior to the end of payroll. + Audits payroll problems and follows procedures for salary overpayment processing and payroll warrant cancelations when necessary. + Works closely with the staff in the institutions to ensure accurate processing of payroll actions including new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc. BENEFITS: + OPS employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in state group insurance plans. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + High School Diploma or its equivalent. + Customer Service Experience. + Experience working in a professional office setting.
