Farm Manager - Specialty Crops
Salary Range: $75,000-$120,000 base salary

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee operations for specialty crops, including tobacco, sweet potatoes, peanuts, and watermelons. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, hands-on farming experience, and a passion for optimizing crop production.
Qualifications/Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (Crop Science, Agronomy, Ag Business, or related field).
3-5 years of management experience in the agriculture industry.
2 years in farm management or assistant management roles.
Farm equipment operation experience is required.
Mechanical knowledge of farm equipment.
Experience as a "hands-on" farm manager.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Proficiency in modern farming applications and precision agriculture technology.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise equipment operators, ensuring efficient and productive operations.
Oversee all aspects of crop production, including planting, harvesting, spraying, and fieldwork.
Develop and manage daily schedules for operators to optimize workflow.
Order crop inputs, equipment parts, and other essential items for successful operations.
Monitor crops regularly, including scouting, tissue sampling, and identifying weeds and diseases.
Ensure timely maintenance and efficient use of farm equipment.
Implement modern farming practices to enhance productivity and sustainability.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive base salary: $75,000-$120,000.
