As a Farm & Ranch Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for the daily processing of accounting transactions and monthly processing of statements. As well as serve as the first point of contact for farm managers and clients for all farm accounting related activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process daily income and bills for managed farms including farm manager contact related to ticket processing
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Conduct monthly and annual accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns and reports.
- Client contact related to account management
- Special accounting projects
- Other duties as assigned and required by management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
- Occasionally (5%) travel within specified region to attend company/industry functions as required
