Utilizing the evidence-based Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Model, we work together to keep adolescents in their home who are struggling with behaviors in the community and home. This position provides services for Silverthorne and the surrounding areas.

Daily Impact looks like:
  • Primarily engaging caregivers & other key participants in active, change-orientated treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to progress
  • Cultivating growth in the whole family unit to empower families to solve their own problems
  • Collaborating with families and allowing them to take the lead in setting treatment goals
  • Keeping youth in their homes, minimizing safety risks and further legal charges.

Model you would be trained in:
  • The MST treatment model is an ecological therapeutic intervention for youth aged 12-17 who exhibit high risk behaviors, including substance use, runaway, and truancy.
  • MST therapists work with families, youth and other key members of their ecology to empower families to address challenging behavior and make long term change.
  • Maintain small caseload of 4-6 families

At Savio, you will grow your skills as a clinician and increase your ability to support youth and their families with:
  • Comprehensive training and support to deliver the evidence-based MST model with high fidelity
  • Clinical supervision hours and other professional development
  • Weekly case consultations with supervisor, team, and expert consultant
  • Quarterly MST training to maintain and grow competency

Salary:

Starting with candidacy (LPCC, SWC, MFTC): $57,000

Starting Licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): $60,000

Starting MA Bilingual: $65,000

Supervision towards professional licenses provided in this role

Many universities allow students do fulfill internship requirements while working. Students pursuing their master's degree and fulfilling an internship requirement may be eligible for a stipend of up to $15,000.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or related field with related experience

  • Ideal qualifications:
  • Master's in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy or related field
  • DORA registration to provide therapy such as LPCC, MFTC, SWC
