About the Role:
The Family Services Manager plays a vital role in ensuring compassionate and high-quality care for hospice clients and their families. You'll lead a team of dedicated professionals in Social Work, Spiritual Care, Volunteer Coordination, and Bereavement Support Services, guiding their work and ensuring seamless collaboration within the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop team leaders, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
- Clinical Excellence: Oversee the leaders responsible for the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
- Program Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of hospice services, including identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinical, administrative, and medical staff to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients. Acts as liaison between senior leadership.
- Community Engagement: Represent the hospice program in the community, participating in educational events and building strong relationships with other healthcare providers.
- Administrative Duties: Manage team schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) and Vermont Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) are required.
- Minimum of five years of relevant hospice experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
- Certification in Hospice & Palliative Care or other related specialty preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospice care, including social, spiritual, and bereavement needs of clients and families. Familiarity with the business of hospice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
