Providing training and support for Foster Parents to ensure preparedness for licensure; Facilitating the licensing process and providing support, coordination and administrative support to both the Program Manager and families to secure license for foster homes; and Assisting the Foster Care Recruiter with all duties and responsibilities as needed. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Conducting license studies for potential and future foster parents; Completing annual reassessments and license renewals; Provide training and support to foster parents to ensure licensure requirements are met; Maintain family resource files as required by CSH and EEC ensuring that all files are keep to date; and provide support and assistance to Program Manager and Case Managers as needed.

Helix Human Services provides Comprehensive Foster Care (CFC), a unique program through which foster families provide a home to one or two children and/or adolescents in need of more support.

Hiring Full Time / Hybrid

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of three years relevant experience.
  • Licensed social worker or license eligible.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and closely with DCF and collateral agencies, must have Knowledge of Hampden County.
  • Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams.
  • Bilingual preferred, not required.
