Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in Connecticut. Starting on 05/19/2025, this assignment offers a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing primary care and family practice responsibilities, including chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol), well visits and check-ups, and treating common ailments such as coughs, colds, and flu. This role utilizes the eClinicalWorks EMR system and offers the potential for extension beyond the initial 120-day period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
  • Manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol
  • Conduct well visits and check-ups
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as coughs, colds, and flu
  • Perform routine physical examinations and health screenings
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR system for patient documentation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in the multi-specialty clinic
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Provide patient education on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices

Additional Information:
