We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Washington, starting 06/16/2025. This opportunity requires coverage for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with 10 hours of patient-facing time and 2 hours for administrative tasks. The work schedule is from 10 AM to 6 PM. The ideal candidate must be flexible as consecutive days cannot be guaranteed. Responsibilities include managing a sole practitioner family practice clinic, handling follow-ups, new patient visits, acute needs, routine physicals, and chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. The patient population will include established patients of a provider on extended leave.

Responsibilities and Duties:


• Manage a sole practitioner family practice clinic


• Conduct follow-up appointments and new patient visits


• Address acute care needs, including cold, cough, and flu cases


• Perform routine physical examinations


• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension


• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages


• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed


• Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks during allocated hours


• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures


• Maintain high standards of patient care and professional conduct


• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members


• Stay updated on family practice guidelines and best practices


Additional Information:


• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Washington


• Family Practice certification required
