Job Description: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families across the lifespan. The FNP will conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and promote wellness through patient education and preventive care. Working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the FNP plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments and routine physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle choices
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Active and unrestricted FNP license
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive Clinical Assessment Skilled in performing physical exams, taking medical histories, and developing differential diagnoses.
  • Chronic and Acute Care Management Proficient in managing a wide range of conditions across the lifespan, including diabetes, hypertension, infections, and minor injuries.
  • Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Experienced in educating patients on lifestyle changes, screenings, immunizations, and wellness strategies.
  • Prescriptive Authority Licensed to prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
  • Evidence-Based Practice Utilizes current research and clinical guidelines to inform decision-making and patient care.
  • Patient-Centered Care Strong commitment to culturally competent, empathetic, and individualized care.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration Works effectively with physicians, nurses, specialists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) Proficient in charting and documentation using EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledgeable of HIPAA, OSHA, and state-specific practice regulations.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Able to quickly assess complex clinical situations and respond with sound judgment.
