We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position in California. This 16-day assignment at a Clinic requires coverage for 8am - 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the ability to pick up additional shifts as needed, starting from 06/23/2025. The NP will provide full scope primary care services to patients of all ages, with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ demographic. Responsibilities include general outpatient family practice and primary care, as well as pre and post-op transgender primary care follow-ups. Job Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide full scope primary care services to patients of all ages


• Offer comprehensive care to LGBTQIA+ patients


• Conduct general outpatient family practice and primary care office visits


• Perform pre and post-op transgender primary care follow-ups


• Deliver internal medicine and gynecological outpatient services


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic health record system


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans


• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate


• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention


Additional Information:


• Must be licensed in California


• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred


• Strong cultural competence and comfort working with diverse patient populations, including LGBTQIA+ community


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
