A nonprofit services organization in Florida is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing team in Orlando on a Part-time basis.
About the Opportunity
- Shift: Part-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 5pm to 8pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health screenings
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring individualized care
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, management of chronic conditions and medication use and potential risks
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor medications, ensuring appropriate dosages and minimizing side effects
- Take a patient-centered approach to develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, considering their unique needs, preferences, and goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication records, in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Clinical experience in a Healthcare setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Valid WHNP, APRN or NP license in Florida
- DEA registration number
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
