A nonprofit services organization in Florida is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing team in Orlando on a Part-time basis.

About the Opportunity

  • Shift: Part-time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 5pm to 8pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health screenings
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring individualized care
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
  • Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, management of chronic conditions and medication use and potential risks
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Prescribe, adjust, and monitor medications, ensuring appropriate dosages and minimizing side effects
  • Take a patient-centered approach to develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, considering their unique needs, preferences, and goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication records, in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Clinical experience in a Healthcare setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Valid WHNP, APRN or NP license in Florida
  • DEA registration number
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team

  • Telemedicine experience
