Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner Coverage
We have an urgent need for nocturnist coverage and are accepting both Physician Assistants (PAs) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) for this role.
Hours:
- 7 PM to 7 AM
- 14-15 shifts per month
Responsibilities:
- Provide nocturnist coverage
- Average of 30 patients per shift
- Department includes 54 beds (does not cover all hospital patients as some are covered by community providers)
- Support staff includes RNs and a House Supervisor-RN
Requirements:
- Must have a West Virginia license
- Board certification required as per state practice requirements
- ACLS certification (with two stroke modules - NIHSS, to be completed after selection)
Additional Information:
- Recent graduates with certification may apply
- Must be comfortable working night shifts independently, with phone support available
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 45-60 days
