Family Medicine OB Faculty Opening in Virginia
Two practice sites: Abingdon and Marion VA
The ideal candidates must be Family Medicine board certified with training in full-scope family medicine including fellowship trained in Obstetrics.
OB Fellowship training required.
Call: 1:2 for practice-based, low-volume OB patients; no overnight call for hospitalist shifts
1:6 office call (phone call only with residents taking first call)
Physicians must have a strong commitment to graduate medical education.
These are full-time positions with the following required duties: handling administrative duties for the GME program, which includes resident supervision in the clinic and hospital, attendance at meetings, candidate interviews, curriculum development, and research; and direct patient care and clinical activities working with our residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The main focus of these positions will primarily be the teaching of residents but will also have responsibilities for teaching medical students and oversight of advanced practice providers.
