RESPONSIBILITIES:
Established Patient Panel with an expectation of seeing 15 - 20 patients per day
Diagnose, treat and counsel patients on their current medical conditions and educate
patients on preventative health measures, including performing annual physicals
Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health
assessments and communicates the plan of care with Patients and/or their families.
Ensure that all charts and medical records are accurately completed in a timely manner;
and adhere to all clinical policies and procedures
Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of
practitioner, and which are economically feasible
Provide direction and leadership to the clinic's medical support staff, regarding the
administering of a patient's care
Provide supervision in case assignment to nurse practitioner/physician assistant,
including sign off on charts, where applicable
Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically
appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and
fragmentation of care
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree from accredited MD OR DO accredited program; Family Medicine, Internal
Medicine.
Board Certified OR Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Unrestricted Medical License or hold an IMLC letter of qualification. prior to employment
and DEA Licensure in the state of WV
Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations
Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
