Barton Associates is seeking a Family Practice physician for a locum tenens assignment at a chemical dependency facility in North Carolina. This opportunity involves providing primary care services starting 05/26/2025, for a duration of 90 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with no on-call or weekend duties. The physician will be responsible for managing a wide range of common primary care conditions, including acute upper respiratory infections, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, seasonal allergies, osteoarthritis, depression, urinary tract infections, and more.

Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide comprehensive primary care services


• Diagnose and treat common conditions such as URIs, hypertension, and diabetes


• Manage chronic conditions including osteoarthritis and GERD


• Address mental health concerns, particularly depression


• Conduct physical examinations and health screenings


• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments


• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a chemical dependency setting


• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using paper charts


• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards


• Adapt to the unique needs of patients in a chemical dependency facility


Additional Information:


• North Carolina medical license required


• Experience in family practice essential
