Overview
The Mountain Region Executive Medical Director - Neurosciences will provide physician leadership in the design, development, administration, and direction of programming and business development activities related to the Neuroscience Service Line across all Management Markets, in furtherance of the System's strategic goals. These activities include:
- Evaluating the components of services now available to identify gaps and barriers within the system, developing clinical programs to meet community need and provide clinical excellence, and developing operational processes with team members to reduce the gaps, overcome the barriers and provide the greatest accessibility within the catchment area.
- This position will be responsible for placing the organization as the leading choice of care for Neuroscience services within their respective market.
- This position will report to the SVP & Chief Clinical Officer.
- Evaluation, process improvement, and business development activities will take place in a close working relationship with a dyad partner, other physician executives, the medical group, clinically integrated network leadership, and through consultation with strategic planning professionals and hospital executives.
- The position will require strong skills in working within complex and matrixed health systems and in managing through influence.
- Participation in the leadership of clinical standardization and clinical value transformation activities across all assigned hospitals and their respective markets will be a critical aspect of this Mountain Region role.
- The Mountain Region Service Line Executive Medical Director will work collaboratively with the clinical teams throughout the Management Markets, within the hospitals and Medical Group, in order to provide the highest quality and appropriately accessible care to the communities we serve.
Qualifications
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Doctorate (MD or DO) in Medicine required.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado required.
- Strong previous performance of providing quality and efficiency in patient care and operations.
- Strong track record of recruitment, retention of talent and leadership development.
- Experience with leading and redirecting talent as needed.
- Strong ability to lead in a changing environment.
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
