Family Practice

Each provider is responsible for an average caseload of 40 patients, many of whom do not have chronic medical conditions. The expected admissions average 3 per week. Occasionally, the provider may be required to cover house duties as needed.

Responsibilities encompass conducting admissions and history and physical examinations (H&P), performing medical evaluations, and ordering necessary laboratory tests. Providers will also facilitate transfers to local emergency rooms when required, address chronic medical issues, and manage medication reconciliation. Additionally, they will order and interpret laboratory results as needed.
