Job Summary:
The incumbent provides outpatient comprehensive medical services for patients of all ages and gender on a continuing basis by performing the following functions.

Essential Functions:

• Reviews patient's medical record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.

• Elicits and records information about patient's medical history.

• Examines patients for symptoms or physical information.

• Orders various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.

• Analyzes reports and finding of test examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.

• Administers or prescribes treatments.

• Perform gynecological screening examinations, and basic gynecological problem

• Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.

• Discusses any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient.

• Prescribes and administers vaccination to immunize patient from communicable diseases.

• Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for preventing of disease.

• Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being.

• Documents the patient's visit including physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.

• Follows up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases.

• Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for health wellness, admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.

• Participates in Quality Improvement activities and peer review activities as required.

• Participates in rotation of after clinic hours for telephone coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Provide clinical guidance and support to Mid-level providers.

• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Functions:

• None
Qualifications and Experience:

• Three to five years' experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.

• Medical Degree from an accredited school required.

• Current PA professional license.

• Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certificate.

• Current Board Certification required.

• Current Driver's license required.

• Current CMEs required.

• BLS certification required.

• Skill proficiency in geriatric, adult medicine, women's health, and pediatric medicine
