Monday to Friday, Office Based

About the Role:

A well-established and loyal client is seeking a Family Law Solicitor to handle cases involving domestic abuse and private law children matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years PQE, with a strong understanding of these areas, extensive advocacy experience, especially in urgent cases, and strong local connections with domestic abuse organisations.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle cases related to domestic abuse and private law children matters.
  • Provide legal advice and representation in court hearings and proceedings.
  • Advocate effectively, especially in urgent situations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with domestic abuse organisations.
  • Act promptly in urgent cases, demonstrating quick thinking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external organisations.
Requirements:
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years PQE.
  • Deep understanding of domestic abuse and children law cases.
  • Extensive advocacy experience, particularly in urgent cases.
  • Proven ability to act swiftly and think on your feet.
  • Strong local connections with relevant organisations.

Second Role - Family Law (Divorce & Financial Remedy):
  • Provide legal counsel and representation in divorce and financial remedy matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and collaborate with the team.
  • Represent clients at hearings and stay updated on legal changes.
Requirements for Second Role:
  • Understanding of Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, cohabitation, separation agreements, TOLATA claims.
  • Proficiency in HMCTS portal, MS Office, Case Management systems, MSTeams.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, advocacy experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified solicitor with 2+ years PQE.
  • Proven experience in divorce and financial remedy cases.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
