LHH is looking for a meticulous and organized Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation and family law team in Palm Coast, FL. This contract-to-hire role presents a valuable opportunity to contribute to significant legal work while assisting attorneys with all aspects of case management, including legal research, document preparation, and trial preparation. Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Writing: Perform comprehensive legal research and assist in drafting memos, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence under the guidance of attorneys.
Document Management: Organize, maintain, and update case files and legal documents in accordance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
Case Preparation: Provide support for trial preparation, hearings, and client meetings, including logistics management, scheduling, and document preparation.
Client Interaction: Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and external parties, ensuring effective communication and gathering necessary documentation.
Administrative Support: Help manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and assist with other administrative tasks in collaboration with a Legal Assistant.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate s degree required (Paralegal Certificate or relevant experience may be considered). A Bachelor s degree is preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department. Litigation and family law experience is a plus.
Skills: Strong legal research and writing skills.
Proficient in legal research databases and case management software.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
